Anonymous asked: Hi there. I'm 22, and I have curly, thick, massive hair down to my butt. Everyone knows me for it, and strangers compliment me constantly. But for months now, I have this super urge to just shave it all off, and I'm not sure why. I'm so attached to my hair. It's what makes me feel beautiful, unique. Maybe that's why I want it gone. I just know I'll wake up the next morning and want to strangle myself for doing something so permanent. Advice? Thanks~

I can’t tell you just to shave it off. Hair is a huge deal for a lot of people and I wouldn’t want you to do it and be upset or uncomfortable with yourself. In my opinion, hair is hair. It grows back, its easily changed, wigs are always fun. If its something you’re proud of and you identify with, think it over some more. Talk to some openminded friends, maybe even message some of the lovely ladies that submit here and ask them why they love their shaved heads. Really really consider it before you commit. You’re beautiful either way xx.
